Tomorrow is my 26th birthday.

And unlike last year (hellooo, quarter-life crisis!) I’m not freaked. I’m so down.

25 was a rollicking ride. And many of you were there by my (digital) side.

Care for a tromp down memory lane?

:: I survived my first year of home ownership (suck it, recession!)

:: I made an art out of crying in public (and my colleagues rolled with it)

:: I quit my job (and they threw me a party with rosewater cupcakes)

:: I went to Hawaii. California. New York. And Wisconsin.

:: I danced around the fringe of my romantic comfort zone (and emerged unscathed, with my brand & street cred intact)

:: I canceled my gym membership (and look hotter than evah)

:: I let my freelance freak flag fly (in living color)

:: I started Tweeting (Lord help us)

:: I grew my empire (no brainwashing required!)

:: I had my first legal scuffle (and handled myself beautifully)

:: I discovered good gin (and tonic…and lime)

:: I learned to cherish my worst case scenario (and wrote a post that uncorked some bubbles)

:: I found a mystical mentor (or two…or three)

:: I changed my course (and the effects were immediate)

:: I raised my rates (and no one flinched)

:: I kept it metal (and ambient…and techno)

:: I discovered the myriad benefits of Primal Screaming (especially when combined with laundry folding)

:: I had a few minor epiphanies (and some of ‘em resonated)

:: I rocked it out. And you were there. In part, or in full. With peptastic praise & productive pessimism. With whipped cream sparkles & well-deserved whiplashes. And I’m so manically grateful.

So. Birthday gifts. For y’all. Yes, ma’am.

I’ve got a refreshed, juiced-up, muscle-bound new version of my Self-Promotion Toolbox. And if you’re swift like a bunny on a caffeine IV drip, you can have a copy for FREE. First 10 bunnies only. The magic code is: RUPAUL
