I’ve been freelance for 100 days!
I feel like a prom queen on Christmas.
I made a quick video to share a couple hard-learned lessons + a couple successes + show off my pretty floral dress.

Oh lord, the time management. When I first started freelancing, I was so at a loss as to what to do with myself that I spent days at a time simply watching ANTM marathons. Now, I’m so overwhelmed with work that I just. can’t. stop. Not for meals. Not for sleep. Not for my poor, darling husband. (Luckily, he’s a workaholic, too.) Placing boundaries is so key.
Aside from that, just wanted to comment on how much I loved your video. I have yet to really experiment much with video posts, and I’m amazed by how natural and confident and eloquent you appear in this video. That and I’m mesmerized by your perfect bangs.
Happy 100 days of freelancery!
STEPH: The bangs are not without great effort, I’m afraid. I should set “bang boundaries,” too. ;)
Can’t stop laughing at the ending. Amazing stuff. Congrats A
I actually wasn’t having a great day but you totally made me giggle. What a warm-hearted video (you’re realistic, yet you always give me hope) and a *bee-yoo-ti-ful* dress – can’t wait to see what you do for the 1 year video :)
ANNIKA: It’s not toooo scandalous, right? My girlfriend was giving me the “strumpet!” eye …
DIANE: Oh, I already have a plan for my freelance anniversary. It involves tattoos + lavender-blonde hair. F’realz.
In that case, I am booking my seat now :)
HAHA! I’ve watched this video twice now and it makes me SCREAM LAUGHING at the end. Great dress, great attitude!
HOLLY: My girlfriend has dubbed this video, “the one where you flash the entire world EVERYTHING.” I think she’s being a tad dramatic, don’t you? ;)
I think she’s right to be concerned. I’m straighter than straight but one flash of your pins and I was nearly on the first plane out! :)
