These days, the prevailing theme of my life is best expressed by the mystical poet Rumi:
“Don’t throw seeds at sand.”
I’m training myself to invest energy where it’s most profitable and joyful, and not to waste my precious time (or anyone else’s) on projects / pursuits / patterns that suck balls.
I have no interest in reading The Secret. And the phrase “fake it till you make it” makes me cringe. But there’s something insanely empowering about stating what you WANT — not just in a journal or on a blog, but OUT LOUD so people can hear you.
So rock it live. Plant those seeds in the mother-fricking fertilizer and pack on some Miracle Gro.
Rumi would be proud.
