Rachel McAdams is one of those actresses who completely transforms her appearance for each character — a blonde snobstress in Mean Girls, a gamine WWII nurse in The Notebook, a grungy school teacher in The Family Stone, and most recently a sultry con artist in Sherlock Holmes.
This Canadian beauty — and former competitive figure skater — stole my heart back in ’05 with her emotive portrayal of Claire Cleary in Wedding Crashers. McAdams brought depth and intensity to what could easily have been a rather insipid role. And casting her as Christopher Walken’s daughter was a stroke of genius.
I eagerly await Ms. McAdams’ forthcoming film, Morning Glory, which also features rapper 50 Cent. Another brilliant casting choice, I am certain!
