Minnesotans love the freak out of dairy. Ice cream, cheese curds and malt shakes are wildly abundant year-round, but it’s virtually impossible to find soft-serve frozen yogurt in the Twin Cities. This is a source of great concern.
In Los Angeles, upscale frozen yogurt shops like Pinkberry and YogurtLand spring from the earth like mushrooms after a gentle rain. They’re multiplying, and they’re evvvvvverywhere. It’s marvelous.
I wish the fair cities of Minneapolis-St Paul would follow suit and open a few froyo parlors. If a Pinkberry appeared in my ‘hood, I would weep organic green tea-flavored tears of glee.

There’s a TCBY by my gym! Someday I’m going to get a large cup o’ froyo with all the fixin’s and put it in the cup holder of a recumbent bike, so I’ll have a snack as a lazily peddle along and watch TV.
